Funny, this came up on my timeline....it looks almost like OP's slimer and 'growth'. Want to guess what happened to this frag? Hint, I now have a new slimer ;)

But these are growing like crazy! Your statement of saying white growth tips equals death is false! I have multiples with white tips as they’re growing that fast! Even that slimer!

I think you're looking at my response too binary....are you considering the other factors I cited for my reasoning?
New tank
New to sps
Not encrusted
New frag

You still think all white tips are created equal? C'mon.

You have an established tank...op doesnt
You are not new to sps...op is
Your frags are clearly encrusted...op isn't
You are showing colonies...op is showing a frag

So it's def not a 1:1 comparison. When you factor what OP has going on then maybe you can see my perspective.

Jumping in on this. Does STN spread? Tank 11 months. Had a spike in phos, treated it and ended up with 0.00. I have had frag for 3+ months. Purchased encrusted. All other corals doing great.

Alk: 7.6 low usually 8.2
Nitrate: 8.6
Salinity:1.026/1.027 normally 1.025
Mag: 1420 tested a week ago
Cal: 450 tested a week ago
