I built this tank from scratch a few years ago
It’s clearly not a display but it has worked out perfectly for a shallow surgy reef environment to grow out acro’s.

Nice! What did you use for alk/calcium, calcium reactor, 2 part, kalk, etc? I had 50 acro frags, an acro colony, and a 6 inch maxima clam in a 40g long with 28g water volume. I started out with calcium reactor, but my ph got too low, and made the skeleton fragile, so i switched to 2 part. Now, I have them in a 137g with 2 part, going to switch to calcium reactor eventually, but the ph boost from the 2 part is nice.

I’m using The BRS Pharma Hybrid Balling Method. I had the same problem using a calcium reactor with 4 DKH consumption a day the reactor was pulling the PH down below 8.0 to maintain the DKH at 7

I've had a calcium reactor on a 40 and it was tuff to balance. Worked great on a big community tank that's not SPS dominated.

I haven't tried to BRS Hybrid, thanks for that info.. Will check it out.
