I think it's made by Deep Blue. Its 24"×24"×12"high, predrilled single corner overflow. I ordered if from the LFS near my house. It was like 250$

About using it as a QT, I would only use it to quarantine my first few fish while I prep the display. I would have it isolated from the main system and clean it out well before converting it into a frag tank. I may have to do it this way because my wife will kill me if another tank shows up.

simply beautiful
great job

IMG_20140903_125243.jpg IMG_20140903_125243.jpg I just hung it Monday and threw a black back ground on it. The specs on my system are 2 hydra 52s(waaaayyy to much light I'm burning stuff at like 40% 8in above the tank.) Aqueon proflex 3 sump set up as a refugium with mineral mud, 4 koralias at varying speeds, the eshoppes snow cone 120, a bulk reef supply dual reactor with gfo and carbon, and a Sicce 3.5 for a return. And for fish I have 3 fire fish, a purple tang, a yasha, a citron goby, a watermelon goby, a yellow watchman, a flame back, a midnight paired with an occy, and 2 platinums. Im trying to go sps but that citron keeps harassing my frags. Which is a pain because "Alan" is my girlfriends favorite fish lol. I can agree with that though I had a 180 that felt like a sky scraper.

I just placed an order for the 93. Picking it up tomorrow! Also got the same stand too and will greatly appreciate your help on how to fit things under there. First, did you put water sealant in the inside? I will use a 20L too for the sump, should be okay sticking out the back. I'm interested in the manifold you created and will probably create something similar. As for the electronics in there. Do you have any issues with humidity? I have the dj powerstrip i want to use and will need to figure out how to mount it. Also want to run a refugium and have my ATO in the stand too. Too much stuff crammed in there?

Thanks for the info, I have a couple phone calls to make

I wouldn't worry too much about using it as QT then your sump. I used a 60gal acrylic cube to treat all my fish with cupramine, then turned it into my display tank and had no issues at all.

Saweet!!!!

Yes I think i did 3 or 4 coats of Kilz on the inside of the stand. The 20L sticks out the back only an inch or 2, and since my vortech require the tank to be away from the wall a bit it worked out perfect. I have 2 fans running in the stand, one blows out the back the other blows across the front of my sump and some days I just leave the stand door open just in case, but I have not had any humidity issues at all thankfully. I have a switched power strip, my RKL, triple doser and a few other electronic items down there. I think the fans are key. I don't think you will have room for a refugium.
EDIT: I did have to replace 1 of the fans after about a year

I'm excited about this project. First new aquarium ever :big smile:

Just bought some caulk and a small can of kilz 2 primer. Hopefully thats enough. I'm gonna put this setup on carpet. Would you recommend I put a plywood board down first before I put the stand on, or should the stand just go on top of the carpet? Would the board make a difference if its only going to be a few inches wider than the stand?

Vanz be careful when placing the stand. There is a tack strip along the wall that holds the carpet in place. Place the stand several inches away from the wall. If you place it on the tack strip it will be very hard to level. Lucky our cubes have a deep footprint which makes them a bit more stable.

Do you have a build thread? I am also setting up a 93. Looking for aquascape ideas.

Thanks for the tip. is 4 inches away from the wall enough?

I haven't picked up the tank yet, but will start my thread when I start the physical build process. But for aquascape, since I might be using a kessil, the rocks will be more centered in the tank because of the light spread. Not sure if I want a single mound or not. But it'll be minimalistic. I'll be using my current rocks in my 125g.

Four inches should be fine. That also gives you a little room behind the tank. You may need to get back there at some point.

I just started a build thread in the member's tank section.
Will's 93 cube and 30 gal frag. There is not much to see yet just some pics of equipment.

Great looking tank. I'd like to have one of these but for now I guess I'll stick with my small cubes :(

What w.gurney77 suggested is good info. You might consider putting it on that board just in case you need to shim a side. I ended up having to shim the right side of my stand

I'm aiming for a slightly larger cube. 150 or 240.... along with the 93 of course

Haven't added anything new so I haven't taken any new pics. I'll get some this week though!

Things just keep growing in very nicely, though I hate having to throw coral in the garbage :(

Randy....I think so. I'm going to take a bunch out on saturday to Nautilus and AS and see if I can get some snails, the rest I'll just leave with them. The one I have to toss the most is that **** monti cap  I have efflo, purple digi, green and ponape birdsnest, and orange monti cap coming out my ears!
