This is my first tank I've ever personally owned but have been around my dad's reef systems most of my life. Buying a 10+ year old tank I got 10+ years of algae buildup (5+ diff nuisance algae that ended with her selling the tank to me) and didn't really feel my tank was post worthy for a while. After adding chaeto, an algae scrubber and a cleanup crew sent from the heavens... I finally have an (almost) clean tank.

As of right now my next planned upgrades are 2 Nero 5 poweheads and to convince my dad he needs new lights so I get his AI Hydra 64HD's

As for additions to my livestock I am interested in adding a six line wrasse as my final fish but am worried it may pester my other fish (experiences/ opinions welcomed). All of my fish get along well and I wouldn't want to upset that. Coral wise I am really enjoying my acros and might grab another 1 or 2 of those if they really pop to me. Also I've been wanting a scoly since I got my tank so that's on my list of next ups as well.

Have had my tank running for a year now! A lot of the my issues like diff nuisance algae, pineapple sponges, collonista snails etc have all gone down in number drastically and my tank seems to be settling in. I've come to the conclusion that if the lady I got this tank from saw it now she would probably be pretty upset considering she couldn't even keep corals in the tank. I decided to do this post because I am very happy with my tank right now but am splitting off some of my stock into a 20 gallon tank to start a tank of all bright green corals. I've lost a couple corals between now and my last post due to some crazy dino's but here it is!!
