Adam - any insight into the plumbing sizing on the Iwakis? Looks like a 1" outlet going into a 2" union. Why so large?

Sure thing. All the return lines are 2" indeed. My runs are over 30 feet long and i wanted to optimise flow. Cant really go wrong with 2" on the iwaki 100. I think they run a little quieter even. Maybe thats just me.

Well done and I wish you well on your exit from the building trade to your full time gig. I once left the aquatics gig for my current full time gig in the building trade....miss the aquatics gig for sure. Now I just deliver custom kitchen counters in Corian, Zodiaq, and some Granite. At least the counters are water tight if that still matters to anyone...lol.

I may retire to the aquatics gig in the future.

Ever since the folks at BRS showed the corals that they used for the 160 I have been following Battlecorals so I figured I had better follow this build as well. I'm looking forward to ordering corals once I get my tank up and running.
