I’ve been struggling trying to keep my nutrients up. It’s a small Fluval 13.5 and I do have chaeto growing in one compartment. I’ve lowered its lighting down to only a few hours per night. Water change schedule is now every 3-4 weeks. I feed heavily, at least I think I do. Frozen 2x per day...

Adding snails to rocks in Brute

I got 50 cerrith snails in and added them to my DT, which is 32 gallons. I have an algae issue due to high phosphates. I will be cycling about 75 lbs of rock in a 44 gallon Brute trash can. I'm guessing I need to add light so algae will grow for the snails right?
