It worked. Ammonia went up but it went to like 2 or 3. Took a week to come back to 0

I’ve heard best results when it’s just under 2.0 ppm

Yeah, my QT is almost cycled.. I’ll start with 2 Oce clowns, unless I can find like 6 Juvis from the same clutch. Then come the tangs

Did some testing for fun.
Alk- 8.1
Calc- 450
Mag- 1380
Salt is RSCP
Also nitrites dropped and nitrates are at 40ppm, so cycle should be complete any day now.

FYI I just turned lights on for pics, lights have been off whole cycle.

Still waiting for the cycle to complete, sitting at around 40ppm nitrate and 2.0 ppm nitrite. Any day now lol

Well, this has been a fun read through the thread. Great built so far.
I believe I arrived just in time as the cycle is close to be done and you are talking about QT-ing fish.

Yes sir, it’s getting close. I’ll start with a pair of juvi clowns ( either black ice or commons) plan is to Start with a safety stop bath, then into the Qt and raise copper power to 2.0 while feeding frozen dosed with General cure and focus.. hoping that will ensure they are good to go. I also have rally, metro and prazi on hand just in case.
