Just about "1 year in" update

Hey guys so i been on the forum for a while but never really posted so heres some about my tank

I got a 25 gallon tank with zero mechanical filtration (i do run carbon)

so i have had this tank for about 2,5 years now 2 crashes last one was 1 year ago, it wasn't to bad and only thing dying was a hammer coral :(
but the tank crashed when i moved (yes i did get new sand) but still new "mini" cycle.

for lights i run a aqua knight and AI-Prime (never going to buy AI lights again)
Got 1 nero 3 for flow and a aquael 150W heater.

other than that i dont run anything else. I do not keep fish in this tank kinda a bit "to small" but i just got a 65G tank im going to set up this winter

here are some pictures for YA

Looks healthy! Time to add more coral! And why not add a couple fish? Your coral will benefit from the nitrogen input. Its certainly not too small for 2-3 fish. Royal gramma, firefish, clownfish, chromis, goby-pistol shrimp pair… lots of options.

I second adding some fish and it would be beneficial for your corals. Many on here keep clown fish pairs in a 15 gallon. I tailspot blenny would be nice as well as the other ones mentioned above.

yes, I was close to buying a firefish might need to fulfill that :grinning-face-with-sweat: I feed 1-3 times a week since like 2 month ago it has really shown on the corals and tank as a whole. Some fish would probably be very good! pluss i kinda want to try SPS maybe some montipora heard those are Hardy? or should i wait until the 65G is up (thats many months )

Montipora would be a great first SPS. They are also cheap so if you mess up, it won’t break the bank. Pocilopora is another good beginner SPS if you want some sticks.

Agree with the above comments. :)

Don't get too down, friend! The hardest part of my reefing journey so far is just behind me, and I'm so glad I stuck it out! It appears as though you are also on the other side of that. Celebrate by getting some more life in your tank! Clowns are classic and would look awesome in your system.
