Hello everyone! Just upgraded my lights on my Waterbox 135.4. I have 2 XR30 G6 blues and tank dimensions are roughly 4x2x2. Got my hands on a PAR meter and figured I'd share my PAR readings to help anyone who needs them.

PAR readings are using the AB+ spectrum with schedule intesitys at 50% 60% and 100%. 60% is where I have decided to keep them.

PAR readings were taken with a Apogee MQ-510

Pic of my tank as reference to rockwork.

crazy how much my mesh lid cuts par. i get about half your numbers. but thanks for sharing!
I have added a custom mesh lid from ClearView Lids and haven't seen a diffrence in par.. maybee 10 - 15 less. I wonder why yours is cut so much.

My Clearview lid doesn't seem to lower par either. You have the perfect set up for your tank with XR30s.

Thanks for doing this. I have the same dimension tank and plan to also get 2x XR30 G6 Blue. How is the par in the front of the tank by the glass? I’m tempted to turn the lights the other direction to get the best coverage from front to back instead of side to side. Or would that be a waste

Anytime! Figured I'd post because I couldent find any Info anywhere else. Those par #s are pretty much the same up near the glass. They do have a real good "blanket" of light overall. I'm not sure if the other direction would be any benefits. I did see on BRS that they recommend 3 in that configuration for sps dominate. I have maybe 10 sps in my tank currently and there all growing and encrusting from mid - top of rockwork.

That helps, thank you. I’m going to try to find that BRS video too.
