So i just recently picked up a 180 gallon viso euro braced aquarium! I started a different form but i think this would be a better place to start it off at and ask questions
I will go ahead and post everything i have from the other form

I just picked up this vizo starfire front panel Euro braced 180 gallon tank and sump and some extra goodies! For an amazing price so i can’t thank the person i bought it from enough.
I currently have the equipment as fellows
ATI Sunpower 6x80watt (needs a new ballast)
2 x Sicce syncra 4.0 silent External Pumps (one needs a new impeller)
Sump(Unknown Brand)
Heater (unknown brand)
Red Sea skimmer
chiller (unknown on size or brand)
UV sterilizer (unknown brand i would have to look back under when i start cleaning and tear down) What else would you all recommend?
How would you do the overflow?
how would you do the pipes? (I have to take most out and replace them)
I have a bit of cleaning to do coming up how would you go about cleaning it all out and ect?
Attached are pictures of the tank in the garage tell it’s all cleaned up

The sump that it came with is a eshopps gen 2 300
Iv been trying to figure out if there’s anyway to add filter socks of some sort or how other ppl configured them, any ideas or point me to the right direction?

Any one have recommendations on how to plum the overflow?
there is four holes in the bottom for 4 1in bulk heads and two for the return
Should i use two overflow and two return? Return holes where also drilled for 1in bulk heads
Keep in mind i have two sicce 4.0 silent external return pumps
Not sure what method to use for the over flow
Attached are photos of the return and over flow

As you see I have two over flow boxes with two drain in case one gets blocked for what ever reason I have a tee at the back of the tank with a cap on the top with a small hole drilled in to let air in this keeps noise super low.
I put a tap on each line which is always open I can turn them off pump halve my sump water to my tank and clean out my sump if I need to to save on water .
My to over flows I have just cable tied filter socks on I am yet to build a custom lid with a hole to fit the skimmer and to holes to hold filter socks this system runs super quit the only thing I can hear is the skimmer lid doing a slight tap ever now and then with holes blocked with bubbles once I build my doors and sides want hear any thing.
I have two 10,000L/hr pumps as my return which is ran up from the sump to the top of the tank via 32mm flex pipe my sump is massive this hole set up will be over 1.5ton haha

Well today was a eventful day! Cleaned everything up, the tank sat with vinegar/water over night and i was able to clean 90% of it all off.
Went to Home Depot to get some plumbing ended up spending about $120 there and still didn’t get everything, went to Lowe’s and spent another $40 there and still didn’t have everything!! I guess everyone is buy pipes and ect lately!!
Went to BRS and ordered the rest of the plumbing and more(wife was a little mad at how much i ended up spending:oops::eek::oops:)
I ended up taking a coat off the bottom of the stand so i had to reseal it and make it water proof so that’s a fun project, so far so good! For the price i picked the tank up for, i can’t complain with everything I’m doing
Sump is back together and has the two bulk heads in place and only one in the return, waiting for more to come from #BulkReefSupply

I would have thought less flow though chiller would stop it turning off and on so much which kills chillers fast is the on off on off but then in saying that if you have slow flow you might not cool down your tank as fast as you want to.
If it was me I would plum both pumps in with taps and tee one off to the tank if one pump was to fail you can turn on a tap and cool down the tank you don’t have to worry about getting pipe and fittings on a Sunday when shops are closed

The stand is now in the house and 90% of the plumbing is done, just waiting on getting the stand from the garage into the house, which may be a while bc if this whole quarantine, so if anyone is willing to come help move this beast about 50-100ft let me know!!
yes i know the window behind the tank, it won’t be there when I’m all done.

Looks good. Just saw this build, so just watching now. I have no idea on the RS skimmer 600. Sorry.

Cannot wait to see this full of corals and other creatures. Good luck!

About a week ago i added some chaeto to my refugium,
I have realized that slowly small pieces of the chaeto are going down the baffle, the chaeto likes to just sit right on the overflow baffle and be “sucked” in towards the return section of the sump
Is this normal? Never had a refugium before i will try to post a pic later of what i mean.
