1600 ppm magnesium

So I noticed that everything was dying recently in my tank, the crab somehow jumped out of the tank 2 times and the 3rd time, he escaped forever... But my crabs seem to suffer, they don't move so today I finally had time to test the water.
Everything was fine until I saw that I have like 1600ppm magnesium in my tank but that's crazy I didn't dose any of that buffers for almost 4 months, I have buffers cause in the past I had a low mg probablem but now I don't know how to lower it, is that why everything is dying? All of the rest parameters are good for example pH 8.1, alk 9 dkh, no3 25ppm (i always had 50ppm or 25)

Try the kit on some new salt water. What brand salt mix? The deaths are probably unrelated to the magnesium. The value may be test error.

Reef crystals, a really suspicious salt that makes my tank WHITE, but red sea is too expensive or I just never buy it in those giant buckets, but I remembered that I can use instant ocean to fix this

I agree, deaths are likely not related to high Mag (at least below 2,000) You might get some other issues like chemical imbalance with calcium uptake and some soft tissue issues with softies. I would also double check your testing to verify. I recently stopped dosing Mag in 1 of 2 x 200g tanks and it remains remarkably stable (Trident tests 2x a day). There are some posts about that also on this forum. Best of luck.

You sure you are controlling salinity adequately?

Yes, my meter is always calibrated, I tested multiple times and 1.025, that white cloudy water disappears after some time but is back when i change water

The white looks like precipitation of calcium carbonate, which is not caused by high magnesium. Can you post your measured alk and calcium?
