Quick question: what settings did you use? I went 3.5mm, 0.4 base. 76 hours, 20 grams.
Min thickness .8, max 3.2, frame 4mm, 100mm diameter.

Layer height .16, 4 walls, 100% infill (improves quality) add support for the round ones. I print at 60-100mms. I could bang one out in 4-6 hours. But it's been 6 months since the last one.

76 hours seems crazy long.

Everyone knows you keep tetras in a long tank!
Mad Napoleon Dynamite GIF by Searchlight Pictures
One Cardinal Tetra per 50 gallons should be about right. Tetras need lots of open swimming space after all..

It is. I forgot to boost the layer height... I'm running it at .1 layer height and the speed looks to be fairly low although I think it's supposed to be at 50. I need to run a speed tower now that I figured some things out.

76 hours is crazy, so far in the last 4 hours it's printed 45 of those hours. It looks to be just under halfway done.

ETA: I think infill is 20%, so not great.

The infill it just to help the shading and light pass thru. The gradient. When you slice it you can look to see if there is infill, if there is you can bump up the number of walls or increase the infill.

I do 4 walls on pretty much everything I print. It's just a cleaner look. But 4 walls on a litho there shouldn't be any infill in the picture where it makes a difference.

I really should revisit the project and find tune the process. They are really neat, I just don't have print time for them right now.

Do you use a vertical orientation or do they print laying flat?

Vertical, the best way, you loose detail otherwise.
Even on the flat ones? I should have asked sooner. :face-with-tears-of-joy: 76 fake hours down the drain.

In my research you get better detail vertical, add a brim if you need it. Or in itslitho.com you can add a stand to the backside and even adjust it's size. Or a nightlight clip. Lots of options. But ornaments add a brim and supports to the frame. Layer height at .16 is better than an unadjustable layer width of a .40 nozzle. Your print will always be wider than the nozzle width.

Yes, it's been a very long drawn out thing, since February. She doesn't want it, but she crossed multiple lines and I can't live like that or let my children live like that anymore.

Ok back to printing and reefs! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Oof. Sorry to hear that. I don’t print (those rhings) but I do reef so here’s heres Goni lookin at you with some eye candy-

I'll check it out.

Cura doesn't have my current printer. At least last time I checked. Ridiculous closed source technology.

Light colored filament?
White is best, but any light colored filament will work, light pink looks great for little girl stuff. You just might need a stronger light source. I haven't tried translucent filament yet but thought that might be neat, maybe sparkle? Might loose details though. IDK just thoughts I've had.

I've got a sparkle purple, but most of mine are dark. I'll maybe pick something up, maybe try what I have.

I have a glow in the dark tat is white to start.
