Yeah, ornaments for friends and family. Except it failed. May have to do the slightly more aggressive unclog for th nozzle but I only have PLA.

I picked one out and showed it to my wife. She glanced and said "No thanks, that's the Star Wars one."

I had clogging issues with a roll of recycled I was trying to use. cranked the heat, that did it.

Stupid z-offset again... Paper doesn't work. Eyeballing seems to work? Paper stopped me at -2.37, current setting is -2.56 and we've got decent looking adhesion again. Running a temperature tower, then I'm going to run the retraction tower at the "preferred" temperature (probably 180-185), then I'll do a retraction speed tower I think.

Make sure your nozzle is cleaned off and no blobs.

I have also always had to fine tune my z offset after setting it.

Weird... Never felt a tingle or anything. PSA for those individuals keeping urchins in your return area or sumps: they can and do eat wires...

IMG_20231202_143825145.jpg

I may have figured out why some of my corals aren't happy? This is my skimmer cord and some of those green areas are bare wires... It looks like it ate the yellow wire only so my sump water became the ground I would assume?

In other news, found the urchin... He's no more, not by my hand. Not sure if the electric got him or what but I rinsed him off good and set him outside to dry. He'll make a cool little trinket for my wife.

Also also, speaking of my wife... So she's agreed to let me tear down the 110 Tetra tank (who keeps tetras in a 110???) to make room for the Mariner tank. Currently she's researching growing Phyto. Next is white worms? Maybe copepods once the phyto is doing good.

Everyone knows you keep tetras in a long tank!

Trimmed the GSP and Zoas today. Brought the trimmings to work for my old supervisor. I'm about ready to sell the GSP rock and restart that rock.

Oh yeah, and my wife asked me to get the GSP gone and start over before it takes over the tank so it's going away tonight and I'm keeping a few small pieces and starting over.
