QMaven II - would donate this to a new hobbiest seeing as light is so expensive and starting out can be like very daunting.

Easy - went from T5 - beside the harsh on and off it was difficult to get a correct balance from the bulbs - but being new to the hobby - thought just me. Also uses a lot of electricity and loud with fans going.
Moved to a Qmaven - very silent but for me the jumps between stages and to off is still to suddon and would need something that fades out or in softly.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you use lighting programs like Coral Acclimation and Clouds to benefit your tank?
I've never had a program that would do that. I've always started them at the bottom and moved them slowly to where I wanted them. Having a program that would do that would reduce the amount of moving the corals needed probably making them more successful long term
I might use acclimation if I reset the tank or make major changes. But other than that, I don't. New coral gets placed low and moved up over a couple of days.

Nominated Cronie Intern - Might be failing?
I haven't ever done anything that fancy. I've seen lights with those capabilities and think they're fun but I also wonder if it stresses the fish at all? We always talk about stability being key since it's such a small ecosystem. I know I tinkered with my light over the Nem tank this weekend and one of the Nems closed up while I was making adjustments and then moved into a cave afterwards so I'm fairly certain I annoyed it.
I use acclimation mode when resetting a tank. I've also used it when I wanted to increase lighting over time. Much easier than going in and manually increasing the lights a little at a time.
I've never used any weather features
I honestly don't. Acclimation mode when first setting up the tank and adding first batch of corals, but beyond that I'll move the new corals themselves as needed vs. subjecting the rest of the tank to unnecessary change.
Cloud mode, never used. Not sure what the practical benefits are
