DAILY QUESTION: How do you integrate new lighting technology with existing aquarium setups?
Tank requirements are the deciding factor for lighting. Since most lighting is a stand alone system, as long as you have the correct coverage and strength. Scheduling to integrate with say a fuge is an easy task .

DAILY QUESTION: How do you integrate new lighting technology with existing aquarium setups?
Well, I integrate as it fits. Maybe I'll add a little more to the left or a little more to the right, maybe the center?

Just kidding! Since I run Noopsyche, I have the app for the newer version and the controllers for the older ones. It's not integrated much with anything since each "smart" product I have has its own controller or app. I don't currently run any almost-all-in-one "tank" controller.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you integrate new lighting technology with existing aquarium setups?
Either hook it up to the app that the manufacturer provides or hook it up to the apex. Once it's set I just leave it alone.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you integrate new lighting technology with existing aquarium setups?
Daily question entry:

I believe its important to try to stick to the same brand as close as possible. That way you can creat a tech eco system where everything works great together. I know this is not always possible but if you can its worth it!

My orphek atlantic icons and OR4 bars will work well with this light!

DAILY QUESTION: How important is ease of maintenance when selecting a reef light?
Just about every light out today is so much easier to maintain than the days of MH and DIY T12 fixtures that I don't even consider it beyond maybe cleaning fan grills.

DAILY QUESTION: How do you integrate new lighting technology with existing aquarium setups?
Usually put the existing lights into an acclimation mode to dim them and then add new light on dim. Slowly add light on new light and determine if any existing lights are redundant then work at removing the redundant light while slowly ramping back at to desired intensity.
