Bonus entry twenty-one - My strategy for acclimating corals into a new lighting system is to start slowly, from the sand-bed, and gradually move the coral up the rock work to it's desired position.

Bonus entry twenty-two - I manage my light schedule in order to prevent algae growth while still supporting coral health by making slow yet still meaningful adjustments, especially in my spectrum and spectrum intensity as well as duration.

Bonus entry twenty-seven - I balance light intensity and duration to achieve optimal results in my reef tank by having a spectrum that I adhere to. What I mean by this is that if I were to increase the duration for which my lights are on, the intensity would drop and vice versa.

Bonus entry twenty-nine - It is essential to have a light that mimics natural sun and moonlight cycles as that is what corals and other organisms in our reef tanks are accustom to and without a light that mimics this coloration degrades and stress increases.
