I love and prefer having bluetooth compatibility, because you can just connect easily with no WIFI fuss. That said, WIFI fuss does open the door for managing light schedules from abroad!

Lighting is one of the pillars of reef keeping and creating a balanced reef ecosystem. Natural light color is the way to go!

Official entry: definitely interested in a much higher upgrade of a light. Especially since I'll be setting up a 65g tank within the next week. With it being 2' tall, I'll definitely need something with a high par output. Not sure if my current light will be able to achieve that. Plus the sun & moon feature and control with my phone, is a huge advantage IMO.

DAILY QUESTION: How has reef lighting technology evolved since you first started reefing?

DAILY QUESTION ENTRY:
I have been reefing for 40 years. When I started, metal halide were the gold standard. The advent of LED lights has revolutionized reef lighting and spectrum. Also, automatically ramping up and down the photo period is amazing with modern lights. We used to have sequence turning lights on and off to simulate sunrise and sunset.
