For algae I just used a peroxide dip on mine. Worked like a charm.I had a similar situation with algae instead of sponge. Using gloves and glasses and keeping the polyps submerged in water (maybe overkill, but oh well), I carefully tweezed the algae from in between and around the zoas. I honestly don't know if this was the best thing to do, but I really didn't see any alternative at the time. Maybe someone can confirm that, lol.

New to coral, noticed this a couple days ago. At first I just assumed it was the zoa spreading, but now I am not sure. Should I be concerned? It’s not really noticeable when they are open. The last pic is when I noticed it, the other two are this morning.www.reef2reef.com
