hey guys i recently purchased some zoa colonies and did a hydrogen peroxide dip a little less than a week ago after finding some hitchhikers. when they came back after hiding, they came back a little thin and deformed as you can see in the picture. i am still trying to acclimate them all to the light do you think this would mean they want more light? i have the marine fluval 3.0 and my blue/violet settings are at about 12% out of 100% maybe i started too low?(still new to this) and white is at 1% . also purchased a few leathers so i had to consider those as well. thanks!

It looks like they're reaching out for more light. Do you know what type of zoas they are? Some are more light demanding than others. Also, leathers can handle high light so I wouldn't worry about dialing down your lighting for them. They're pretty adaptable.

thanks for the info! i don’t. the LFS just has them all labelled as “zoas” unfortunately hahaha may you give some examples of these type of zoas that demand more light?

Agreed with some of both previous statements! After a peroxide dip zoanthids need recovery, place them in good flow and softer than normal lighting until they recover ! Completely normal especially if you left them in the hydrogen bath too long or the concentration was too high they will most likely be ok
