I’m not even sure my roller fleece can only take 900. I got a sicce sdc 7 that’s 800-1900gph, a little lower since it has to go up 4-5 ft and will have a bit of a silicone to start the plumbing. — is your pump the same one, running that low? I wasn’t sure they could unless you have major overhead.

I would have sized that down a little but that’s before I realized the overflow gph isn’t exact. So now I’m questioning the over flow size. Or maybe just get the 3/4 and exchange the pump ( it comes in today). The overflow is literally last on my list since I thought it was most important

You would not need anywhere near 900 gph for your 65 gallon tank cut that in half at least. The only thing you are going to gain at 900 over 450 is more noise.

Yes I have 2 Sicce SDC 7.0 They will flow the spec is at zero head. so 0-1900 at 100% and 0-800 at the minimum setting i can not remember 5 or 10%

This is the flow chart for the SDC line of Sicce pumps. They only publish the max but you can estimate the graph shifting the line to the left for the low number they state. So on this graph 800gph at zero with the 3.0 line. This is just an estimate and the actual line will not match this exactly.

So cut down to the (6) 400-1450.. The (3)260-800 is too small unless I go with the 3/4” plumbing maybe?

And you think go with the standard 3/4” plumbing on the 1200? They offered to make me one with the 1” but really I just want whatever will run and last well with as little risk of leaks.

I feel like this is the most confusing to get right, since everything else I can always change later if I ever wanted.

I went with eshopps because for the life of me I can't understand why you'd build an overflow box that isn't clear so you can easily look at the water level. Modular marine... You lose :)
I imagine it is to help reduce the growth of algae and other undesirables. Easy enough to peer in the top LOL.

If you are even remotely handy, you could do something like this in the middle. Essentially a stockman standpipe.

No I am say your pump that you have is fine. If you run the 7 at the minimum speed it will have a similar pump curve as the 3.

Oh okay, I thought you were saying to cut the 800 in half at first on the pump. Like get one a size smaller. My confusion

No I meant cut in half the 900 gph flow you mentioned you wanted to at least 450 gph. If it were mine i would target around 250 gph.
