Went to the LFS looking for a black widow anemone. I ended up buying this yellow tip ritteri anemone. Looked good in the store display tank, they had it for over a week. It was near the top of the tank when I got him at the store. It’s been in my son’s tank for two days now and seems to like the bottom. Foot is firmly attached to side of the tank. I thought they liked to be near the top of the tank? It looks good to me. The two clowns took to it right away.

It might just be getting used to the tank. Once it's ready, I expect it to move higher.

Just curious, are you in northern or southern CA?

Northern CA

I wouldn’t mind it staying put
Was that the mag at Aquatic Collection?

They typically like to perch themselves on flat rocks or the walls of the tank under high light. I'd be shocked if it stayed at the bottom of the tank.

Nice clownfish BTW. Is the other an onyx as well?

I bought it at aquarium depot

As far as the clownfish, I’m not sure. My step dad’s best mate had to take his tank down when he moved and asked me to take them. The bigger clownfish is wild caught over 10 years old
