I have a 6 lined wrasse and Ive had him for about a month. he has been coming out and eating. He was out last night and is now hiding in my rock. I've tried to move him out and he keeps going back. He would always be swimming out and active I dont know why he is hiding. I did a water change just incase something in the water wasnt pleasing him and he still wont come out. Anyone know why?

First, don’t poke at a fish. It stresses them out and makes them less likely to come out. As weird as it sounds, stress can kill your fish.
I couldn’t tell you why the fish is acting strange, but you should give it time. If after two days it hasn’t eaten (either from you or hunting along your reef), then you should be worried. There isn’t a lot you can do anyway.

some fish come with some major PTSD, I guess being shipped all over the world in a bag can do that sometime. i agree with Evan leave the fish alone, as long as you see it eating regularly then its fine. I try to make a ritual of feeding time, the sooner the fish figures out I'm the source of its food the sooner it will love me

Typical of them. They are bashful and easily intimidated by tankmates
