Prazipro is great for internal parasites.

I've owned every leopard in the family over the years(minus the choati, but that one will soon be in my tank). I have never known them to decimate pod populations. Yes they will pick and hunt, but they would rather eat a medussa/spaghetti worm then pick for pods. Once they start eating prepared foods, they could care less about any "pests" in the tank.

One thing to also consider with leopards, since they have a bird like beak to eat, they can and often times hit the sand in our tanks to hard, and will break their beak(often times this is a caused by sand being to shallow and bouncing off the bottom glass). They will do exactly what you are describing with food when they have a broken beak.

Just look at it's beak real well and see if it the 2 halves line up together.

@i cant think the wrasse in question looks like an Macropharyngodon ornatus to me.

They differ from Macropharyngodon meleagris right?

Not sure if it matters in the overall scheme of things.
The specimen in question is a meleagris male. The ornatus is somewhat similar in colour however they have slight variations.
In the overall scheme of things it doesn’t really matter as Ornatus is another relatively easy species.

I thought I would update my Lepord Wrasse.....
She is still with us, back in the main tank.
I had her in QT for a while and she was eating well, so bac in to main tank...
She is still to slow and misses all the food, so this is how I target feed her only.

I put food in to the bottle, and only she goes in there to eat...

I can't think - not sure how I miss read your post.
I'm sure the fish was a female... but no it's a skinny butt male.

So the other one is female?
I'll post a picture.

Question, do / can wrasse tails be eaten under the sand?
Nothing major but these two and my rubyhead have bits missing in there tail.
Never seen anything biting them...

Yeah, this guy is a beautiful male meleagris.
A photo of the other would be great, as for the bitten tails it’s likely a tank mate, what else is in the tank?
