How fast do you think that bulb will grow the cheato?
Theres more variables than just light so its not that easy to say.
Youll need to make sure your tank has enough nutrients for it to thrive as well as some other trace elements or it may die off regardless of lighting wattage.

It’s pretty mature, it has a A lot of nitrates and some phosphate.

It doesn't need to be a what I said. But kelvin rating is important on growth. They like it from 2.2k to 4.5k So the bulb you have can work.
The other person to answer my question, said that it is not the correct spectrum?

Oh no, my brains not working. 5k to 6.5k kelvin. >.> Who did I confuse the chaeto with?

Edit: some grow it with 3k kelvin and it grows great. I say give it a try if you have the chaeto now. If not, you can get a 5k bulb in the meanwhile.
