Hi All,

I have noticed these brown worms burrowing into the base of an octospawn coral and don't want the coral to get harmed.

What are they and how can I deal with them? (ignore the feather duster)

Kindest Regards and thanks in advance

did you try dipping to see if those "worm-like" things come off? doesn't seem like anything to me, but the white "tubes" pictured are feather dusters

I have dipped in Coral RX for 10 minutes and absolutely didn't do a thing to the brown worms. I tried to sucker them up too and they don't budge, they do go into hiding though!

I'm worried as they have bored into the base of the coral, what would be my next option? And does anybody know what they are?

Thanks in Advance!

Like mentioned above those white tubes are just harmless feather dusters.

I can't really see what that green arrow is pointing to, but you might want to google hydroids and see if anything looks familiar. IME these are fairly harmless so I wouldn't do anything drastic unless you see some damage or irritation to the coral. GL.
