The sale really has me thinking how many frags are too many for a 20 gallon tank

WWC said they had 250-ish in the 1500 gallon.... You probably don't want that many in a 20 gallon.

In all seriousness, it depends on the corals, their aggressiveness, the size, the flow, the lights, and your ability to keep parameters stable.
