Lucky for me my house is a tri-level that already had a perfect little built-in cubby that's the perfect spot for my sump. I've struggled a bit keeping the temp down in the summer and thought moving the sump downstairs where it's cooler would help and also give me more room as instead of under the tank.
Things went alright although it took me quite a awhile to get all done. I run our family's hardwood flooring company and used some leftover material to line the cubby with.
Decided to run the drain and return lines in pex pipe, saw a plumber once use plastic electrical conduit elbows to bend the pipe around corners and thought that was a great idea. Used that method to avoid using tees.
Finally got all the plumbing in place and electrical mapped out to go ahead with the move. Decided to cut an access area in the side of the cabinet which I'll just trim over later, way easier to get the sump out than any other method I could see.
Move took me ALL DAY but everything is working real well, even keeping nice low stable temp on the hot days we're recently having.
Really pleased so far!
