Sweet! Do you keep skunk shrimp or pistol shrimp? Should I worry for these guys?My hermits are still fine and most of my snails. I do prefer the bigger and tougher snails like Mexicans and trochus.

That’s great to hear! Thanks so much for your expertise here. I’ve been struggling to get these questions answered.Yes and no issues whatsoever
Don’t know how I missed this @!They’re all 3 Halichoeres wrasse of about the same size and I would say are equally likely to go after CUC. They might all get along they might not. One will become the dominant male and the other two will probably be peaceful. Personally I'd get two of them and get a bunch of other wrasse such as flasher (Paracheilinus), fairy (Cirrhilabrus), and if you have a good LFS and know what you're doing then potentially leopard (Macropharyngodon), and tamarin (Anampses) wrasse. However the last two are more difficult. If those appeal to you then I can help make up a good list of wrasse for you!
Then @i cant think will make an even better one
This rule fails when you have the earmuff, those guys are what I call big boys and yet remain peaceful! It’s not needed for halichoeres. For leopard, tamarin, and pencil wrasse it increases survival chances. The rule with halichoeres is basically max size is equivalent to aggression. So long as you stick to the ones less then 6” you shouldn’t have to worry about much aggression.
Earmuff may be a fish of conflict. Ive had Yellow coris and melanurus together with no issueHello,
I am thinking of adding these three wrasses to my 119 gallon tank:
Melanarus
Earmuff
Yellow Coris
will these three get along?
Additionally I have heard the melanarus is particularly bad about going after CuC. Would there be a better alternative to this one to add with the other two listed above?
thank you in advance!
How many wrasses are you looking at getting in total, not just sand sleepers.Hello,

Hahah well it looks like @Slocke helped me narrow it down to the Blue Star Leopard, Earmuff, and Timor wrasse. Are there any alternatives or additional suggestions you might add?Don’t know how I missed this @!
I love making wrasse lists
There’s several I would add!Hahah well it looks like @Slocke helped me narrow it down to the Blue Star Leopard, Earmuff, and Timor wrasse. Are there any alternatives or additional suggestions you might add?
Here you go, obviously these each need their own research and these aren’t the only species you could haveThere’s several I would add!
If you want I can form a list of the potential guys I’d add personally.
Wow the Dusky was on my original list as well! Would it fit in with the other three I have mentioned and is my system big enough to accommodate 4 wrasses?I will always recommend Dusky wrasses. H. Marginatus
Absolutely love them. My current dusky came in pretty bland in color but now is absolutely stunning. Pretty peaceful as well. Doesnt beat up on my CUC at all. Blue star is next on my list. After that is either a blue throat fairy or pink margin.
What other fish do you plan on having?Wow the Dusky was on my original list as well! Would it fit in with the other three I have mentioned and is my system big enough to accommodate 4 wrasses?
What other fish do you plan on having?
My 110G tank is filled with 13-14 fish… 5 of which are high end fish over here.
Here’s an FTS showing most fish except maybe 2-3.
This FTS is older and missing my newest fish;
With those three tangs I’d honestly say you’re maxed out in a 120 and would only really get away with adding 1 other fish. The purple and yellow will be nasty to newcomers. The purple (and yellow) may also be a case of rehoming as they can get too active for a 4’/5’ tank and really want a 6-8’ tank.wow thats awesome! How do you like the Magnificent fox face? I am currently torn between that one, the one spot, or the regular yellow one. I wanted a bigger fish bc all the ones I have currently are small.
Below is my current stock list in my Redsea MaxS-500. I believe it is 120 gallons in the display.
1Fire shrimp
1 Skunk Shrimp
1 Pistol Shrimp
1 Yellow Tang
1 purple Tang
1 White Tail Bristletooth Tang
1 firefish
2 Clownfish
1 Diamond Goby
1 Sandsifting Starfish
1 Lawnmower Blenny
very likely adding or considering:
Flame Hawkfish
Royal Gramma
Tailspot Blenny
Midas Blenny
Foxface (definitely adding)
Where did you get it and was it eating before you got it? They can go a few weeks in the sand so don’t be too worried.@Slocke @i cant think hello! So I ended up adding a blue star leopard wrasse and it popped into the sand about a 1.5 weeks ago. It came out once like the day after and I tried to feed mysis, pellets, and flakes and it didnt show any interest only to dive back into the sand shortly after and has been hiding since! How long should pass before I begin to worry? Additionally, what foods do yall recommend I try? I was going to try and get some black worms but there anything else?
