First pic is my 15g cube that no longer exist! I upgrade this tank to a 40g cube (second pic)
The 40g is running about a month. Left piece of rock was the same from the 15g and the right one is new dead rock.!
Sometimes i feel that the A160we is a bit strong for my corals even in the 40g.! Sorry about my english guys i am trying my Best :)

Sorry for reviving old thread. But this is the reason I saved my pennies and got 2 Kessil A160s lights. The shimmer and how strong they are. I hope in the future it can handle some SPS when I decide to go that route. As of now I need to learn about testing and dosing.

I really love these lights.

I gotcha my apologies. You should be able to keep most lower light demanding sps up high. Depends on how close they are placed to the lights. But you can always try some of the more demanding sps and see how they do

No worries, It was my fault for not being especific. Makes alot of sense. And you're right, its all about testing out and seeing what works. That's why this hobbies is so interesting. Lol
Once again, thank you man.

The 160’s are 40w and the 360’s are 90w. I’m running two 160’s on my 36 bow front and I love them. And so does the corals in the tank. Couple of zoos a leather and a facial. I eventually plan on getting a 75 don’t know if I want it rimless or not but when I do I’m plan on adding another 160.

Eventually ill end up upgrading in the future like you man. And was thinking 75 also. Seems like more of a perfect tank size. And 3 a160 sounds like awesome setup. I really don't like that middle bar these tanks have...

I also have 2 a160we on my 75 Red Sea Reefer and I’m looking into getting a third to satisfy a recent SPS itch I got!
My schedule starts off;
8am with 5% color, 5% intensity
10am with 5% color, 25% intensity
1300 with 10% color, 40% intensity
1700 with 15% color, 40% intensity
2200 with 5% color, 5% intensity
Lights are 12” off the water

Thanks erdrick80! The tank is an upgrade from a 3 year old 60 cube and has been up and running about 7 months.

I have 5 160's over my 92g, everything looks great, all types of corals grow great under them, and there's no beating what the shimmer brings to the aesthetics's of the tank. I also like the simple 2 knob control keeps it simple. You won't be disappointed.

I know this is an old thread. Not sure if you still own the A160WE, but do you recall the light schedule ?

I have 3 160we and 4xt5's over my 80 gallon. The most they run is 65% intensity and 50% color 10 hrs each day with a steep ramp up during a 4 hr period. My t5 are B+, coral plus, super actinic, B+... now my tank is only 22" deep and I get 177 par on the sand bed dead center of the tank.

I know this is an old thread. Not sure if you still own the A160WE, but do you recall the light schedule ?
I've since removed 4 of the 160's and added 4 360 we's, acclimated my acros for a few weeks with the 360's at 50% but now they have been at 100% power and 50/50 on color for most of the day with all blue for the 1st and and last couple hours, they are on for 13 hours a day. I've transitioned to mostly acros but have a large variety of other types of corals. I dont use the controller they are on wifi timers so that what turns them off and on.
