Have you ever wondered who's answering your questions, greeting new members in the meet & greet, and posting bomb tank thread?

If you are anything like me, you are curious to know who that person on the other side of the screen is. That is why we are making this thread! Share a picture of yourself with us so we can put a face to the member name.

I'll go first. My name is Bailey, and this is my wife, Alycia. Next!

So I already did a pic of my other half and I, but I am seeing a lot of pets on here, and because my name in here is Sophie’s mom, I thought it only appropriate to show y’all Sophie

I fricking LOVE chickens. They are so funny for no reason. My first real pet were chickens, but 3 months of having them the City Of Miami demanded we give them away or we’d get a big fine because the rooster kept crowing at 4am. We only added the rooster 2 weeks prior.

What does the sign with the chicken say?

Hi there. I'm Chuck. I have my 210G and 35G reef aquariums in Western Wyoming in the Rocky Mountains at 7323' altitude. I started aquariums when I was 12 and been off and on for almost fifty years since. Mostly off, but really on starting in 2001...that was in FL, but I moved out here to WY 10 years ago and restarted my amazing reef aquarium 2 years ago...very up and down, but finally getting SPS to grow (and survive), plus a slew of fish. I love it. It's a bit of an obsession.

Hi Alycia's husband!!! This is a FANTASTIC topic idea!!!

Hi! I'm Sue!

When I graduated college, in time beyond memoriam, I became a scuba dive master and instructor. I worked in the Caribbean for a short time before coming back to responsibilities in the "real world". What I wasn't able to bring back with me was The Reef.

Many years later, successes... school .... careers... failures...life...marriage... more school... I finally turned my occasional FOWLR tank into a reef. Covid opened up a whole bunch of opportunity on craigslist where people gave up on their systems for lack of supplies. So. I held my nose and jumped in the deep end. I figured out what a sump was for... Which way the skimmer faced... And DEFINITELY NOT to learn using corals with the letters a-c-r-o or p-o-r-a in the name!

Well. I did learn things.... I learned how fast a tank can crash. I learned, too late, the different phrases LPS and SPS, about lighting and parameters. I learned that you can't start school (again) full time and pay enough attention to a SPS tank.

I learned what amazing resources are the people, forums and articles of R2R! (Truly not just a shameless plug because they let me win a coffee mug)

Fortified by the things I learned here and certain sponsor websites, video archives and live shows (thank you, Than). I decided what I wanted in my tank, FIRST, and then did it right. (I presume... "They ain't dead, yet...")

My hubby & enabler, Todd, loves how much I love my tank. During a live sale last weekend, I was hunched over my phone in the dark. While he slept. He rolled over and mumbled, "go ahead and get the expensive ones, babe, if they make you happy." Ahhhhh, love.

He's a scuba diver, as well, but never seen a real reef. He is slowly learning things about it and getting into it with me. (Of course, when he "gets into" something, it's borderline obsessive, this my new Monster Build thread.) we married when I was 48 and he was 52. With him I got 5 adult children and (now) 8 grandchildren! We are trying to get our 6yo (the only local good) grandson interested in everything reef. It helps that y'all have a current trend of naming the corals after his favorite super heros...

Our menagerie isn't limited to water, though. We have two mutts, girls. A 10yo chocolate lab and a 5yo cattle dog/shepherd mix who always go in the wrong direction when chasing chipmunks. We also have a pair of mated 10yo red eared slider turtles. They (until this weekend) have the biggest tank on the house AND an outside enclosure for summers. We have a 95G reef tank with a mandarin and dottyback. We have a 10G pod breeder that also homes the watchman goby that the dottyback and beat up. We have a 50G FOWLR (and now some softies and nems) tank for the jerk face adult damsels and clowns that don't play well with anyone else. Next week, that all changes!

Here we all are:
