White string coming out of bristletooth tang skin

Additionally - are there nematodes/roundworms/other external parasites that this could be - I tried looking it up - did not see any.

Nematodes pretty much stay put inside the fish. The only time I've seen them come out is with Caprillaria, that come out of the anal opening of discus and then I had some killifish that had gut nematodes that blew right out the stomach and side of the fish (like the movie Alien - yuck).

Hi all, apologies for not providing an update sooner or another video, I was traveling for work the last few days.
The white string disappeared while I was away and the surrounding area, as well as the fin, look completely healthy again
I will keep a close eye on the fish to see if something similar returns.
