Hey guys just trying to diagnose this for a friend of mine? Could you help me out. I've attached a video of the fish and how severe does this look to you? Not much, moderate or a lot?

That’s not velvet. It could be mucus plugs. Those are a reaction to stress that this species shows. Trouble is, one of the stress causing agents is ich. Do any other fish in the tank have spots? If so, then it is probably ich.

Its moderate severe at this time. Often other fish will not show signs but can suddenly break out. As Jay mentioned, its often triggered by stress or skin irritation. Best remedy as ich may play a role is to quarantine and treat fish using coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 For a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.
