I have a 20 gallon nano reef that has been up and going for 8 months now. So far, the tank has been doing great. I'm stocked with 2 clowns and a tailspot blenny. I also have a few scarlet hermits, a emerald crab, and a mixture of snails. I've recently noticed a white cloudy substance floating in my water. When I see it, I will scoop it out, but after another day or two it's back. I've tested my water and everything is normal to what is has always been. I've also done a 30% water change. Nothing seems to prevent it from coming back.

I've noticed that my torch coral has not been fully opening since has been in the water. Some of my zoas arent opening as well either. All other corals look fine. About 3 weeks ago my scarlet hermits began looking more of a pale orange color rather than bright red... not sure if this is related though.

Any ideas what this might be? I'm starting to get worried. I definitely don't want to lose my torch.

I think i have figured out what is was. I believe it was coral slime, coming from my torch. I've noticed my female clown has started hosting in the torch. The torch seems to be adapting to the clown now, but in the beginning it was very unhappy. The slime seems to have dissapeared now and the torch is looking much better.
