White “colonies”

Ideas appreciated- good? or bad? white spots or colonies have appeared on the glass in our fairly new nano reef tank. Tried scraping off but they’re almost impossible to shift. They’re about 1-2mm in diameter.

Look at the little spots very carefully, do they move from time to time? If so, you’re likely seeing copepods, which are very small crustations. These are desirable and a sign of a healthy tank. Good luck!

Here’s a not very good picture, I tried to get a shot but they’re mostly on the black right hand wall. Does this help?

Don’t seem to have moved much if at all in 24hrs
