All I’ll say is that risk is very little.
I work around 2 (maybe 3 after today…) in my own tank and have worked around countless in an LFS. If you just watch their behaviour and go slowly without any sudden movements they’re absolutely fine!
Here’s my Bicolour - I also have a Magnificent who is much larger (the biggest fish in the tank).

Agreed. I have a foxface in each of my frag tanks and they all will move to the other side of the tank whenever my hands hit the water.

Fwiw, I chose fox faces specifically for their utility. They are excellent hair algae eaters and will knock out bubble algae as well.

Wow that’s some awesome fish you have! I love the wrasses. Are those regal angels? Are they reef safe too?
Regal angels are mostly r reef safe for me. They picks now and then but never kill any of my corals.

I guess I should have been more clear but I’m looking to add another fish and I like tangs but was looking for one that would pick at algae and just help out when needed.
I’m not really looking for them to be the main clean up.
Also curious if it would get along with the other tank mates I listed.
Thanks for the replies!
I ended up getting a blue eye Kole. Here is a picture of him- not a great photo as he is still in the bag.
He went straight to the rock work and started picking it in the QT tank.

Not sure about tangs but my algae problem was remedied quickly by 5 turbos a few emerald crabs and 4 trophy’s snails. Now I have baby snails everywhere and have stopped cleaning the glass on the sides due to the massive micro fauna population I just can’t bring myself to squash with a razor.

See, should have gone with a Foxface.

Oh wait, never mind. Glad it turned out well for you. The fish are not always that cooperative for me.

Good luck with your new fishie!

Nice. Wish my snail eggs would hatch. The wrasse and clowns usually eat them right after they are laid.

Thanks! I was torn between this and a foxface but none of the LFS had any in stock.
Hopefully he will keep up eating the algae.

I have two currently and need to find a place for them. They eat the algae

That is really cool tho
I only have two clowns that I feed very frequently but I’m sure as the tank grows and more fish are added they won’t make it. I’m going to try and put them in the sump to encourage their growth.

Definitely worth a shot. If you can get those to hatch you can skip the whole QT process!

Good choice. Imo there is no comparison to bristletooths for scraping rocks. Not like my stupid hippo who scrapes the rock once a week. My orange shoulder is middle of the road scraper.
