Thanks!

Moat of the popular online stores sell it. Brs, topshelf aquatics, saltwateraquarium.com, and I think premiumaquatics.com

BRS, TSA don't carry the salt. :(

Saltwateraquarium has been out of stock for months (maybe longer?) and last time I asked they didn't know when they'd get more. Same with premiumaquatics.

I have checked several other places as well, to the same result.

There is a Canadian place that appears to have it in stock but the feedback from buyers is pretty bad and I don't trust that they actually have it.

Coralvue shows a bunch of retailers in Colorado, don't know if any of them are close to you or if they offer shipping.
I contacted em all, many don't even know who Fauna Marin is. I think coralvue just lists everyone who has a wholesale account with them regardless of what they carry. :/

Which one out of curiosity?

Is it these guys?

They are the main supplier/ distributor of FM in Canada.

If they don’t have it then there is supply issues. I am not sure if they ship to US.

Yep that's it. I almost checked out and saw they do appear to ship to the US. I might take a chance on it as I'm getting low on salt. We'll see, pretty happy with TM Pro just wanted a hair more alk.

Thanks!

They are the go to for FM and GHL in Canada and I do use them.
As long as you are ok with less than 5 star service they are ok. By Canadian standards they are no better or worse compared to the other online reef related providers.

I always get the items eventually but some unique items do take sweet time to get here. Maybe email them about the availability and shipping to US.

I believe CoralVue is the only supplier of Fauna Marin for the US, all the listed dealers are wholesale coralvue customers, doesn't mean they carry the salt, after making a few long winded phone calls, I believe you have to buy a substantial amount of salt somewhere in the range of $1750 to even get free shipping, otherwise if below its a $250 shipping charge, that's why most places do not have any product, I believe coralvue does stock it, it's just a matter of finding a dealer who carries it.

I've heard good things about this salt and would like to try it? Can anyone add to this and give any feedback on this salt mix? Going back to this shipping and purchasing, it seems as maybe thats why its out of stock, just my guess.

Can anyone add to this and give any feedback on this salt mix?

I been using it on/ off for 6 years. It mixes quick, corals are good, fish the same. The parameters are where I want, and it mixes consistently (new bucket vs. almost empty bucket).
I get no residue when mixing but I also mix and use the salt within couple of hours.

I also used TM Pro-reef salt, it is very similar.
I used Red Sea Coral Pro salt and that is my least favourite. Painful to mix etc…

Hope that helps,

I'm currently using red sea coral pro salt, I keep my alk at 8.3, but whenever I do a water change, I get an alk spike and then my system doesn't intake calcium or alk until about 3-5 days later. The intake is very small compared to what it normally intakes, also I've read that the fauna marin has way more trace elements than the red sea brand.

Compared to Red Sea Pro the FM pro salt is dream to mix. From my experience in 10-15 minutes the water is clear. All I use is small power head to mix it.
With Red Sea the process took longer and there was residue left over. If I remember I had to heat the water as well.

As for trace elements I would hope both provide what is required. More may not be necessary better!!!

Corals do grow:
