Vinyl tubing is fine for use in aquariums - just not for my application.

BTW, If you're looking for Titanium hose clamps I found some here. These are 100% impervious to saltwater.

Just figured it might help somebody in their quest to find a solid solution

this is way too thin walled to hold the pressure of the return pump. it will turn into a balloon not a tube. I strongly advice against this option.

I've received a 1", 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 ID from Amazon - will post pics later on today. Very nice quality tubing and with 35-40PSI rating one can rest easy knowing that it's not some thin-wall tubing that is going to burst.

I've decided to switch out the 1" on the smaller pump outlet to 1-1/4" due to a very restricting nature of barbed fitting.

I strongly think that a lot of the people that are using a hose/tubing to connect their pump to the rest of their plumbing are severely limiting pumps output flow, ie they are choking the pump with nominal-size barbed fittings.

Here for comparison is an internal diameter of the 1" Barb fitting to 1" Schedule 40 PVC pipe - the reduction is absolutely crazy!!!
