Where to buy silicone tubing

I’m trying to plumb my return pump and I’d like a short section of silicone between my pump and pvc plumbing. I am using a Vectra L2 with 1.5” plumbing to help reduce friction loss. For the life of me I cannot find soft silicone tubing in that size. The biggest BRS carries is 1”. Any ideas?

Instead of silicone, why not use spa flex? It can be glued inplace just like regular PVC, and has enough "softness" to dampen any vibration noise.

It literally can be had at any pool supply house.

Did you find any? I contacted a manufacturer (USA Sealing) and they wouldn’t sell directly to me but said they distribute to McMaster, Fastenal, and MSC Industrial. McMaster was back ordered by months and Fastenal was more expensive.

Grainger also has it listed and they say arrive 5/16 but people in the reviews of this merchant say they haven't received stuff 3 months later if at all.

On a second look, I do see it on McMaster, I guess I'll be buying a single foot of hose at over 50 bucks if nobody steps up on R2R.

In NYC, there's got to be a local plumbing, hardware, hobby farm, or co-op type store that sells tubing.

I'm willing to bet they aren't, you're thinking spaflex or vinyl tubing, I'm looking for soft, food grade silicone tubing.

No pressure rating listed and it seems pretty thin-wall but then again the tubing BRS sells is also only 1/16" wall-thickness as well. The Abyzz produces little over 12PSI of pressure. Hopefully, if I close the valve it doesnt blow a hole in it. I posted a question on A-Z to see if the manufacturer replies with a pressure rating.


This is another choice I've found; thick-walled and steep at $40 foot but at least it's got a pressure rating listed and we all want to sleep at night.

Should still be safe for aquariums? Vinyl tubing is very pliable. Can get it rated up to ~80 psi.
Unless you are just looking for black to keep things from growing in the tubing?

1-1/2 ID with 2" OD so a 1/4" wall-thickness and A-Z promises to be delivered next day with Prime.

I spoke to the manufacturer just now in NY and he said its rated @ 40PSI.

Needless to say, I bought 1" ID with 1/16" wall thickness on Amazon per the post above for my smaller pump, and this one with 1-1/2" ID with 1/4" wall for the Abyzz A200

I will post pics when I get it.
