Hey everyone, so I have has this pair of clowns for 3 years and everything with them has been fine until recently. The female has been beating on the male pretty hard the past couple of weeks and i have noticed that his stomach is quite visible and his fins are very see through. Comparing that with the female who is absolutely fine and chunky. The male still eats like crazy but does anyone know what this guy has and how do i treat it? He also gets more pale when the lights go out. Many thanks

The male has been damaged by the female. The question is; does it have some pre-existing issue that weakened it and that caused the female to turn on it, or did the female cause this herself directly? Clownfish pair dynamics do frequently change....

Either way, you need to drop a tank divider into the tank to keep her from doing any more damage. Then, feed him well to see if you can recover it.

No pre-existing issues that i have had. I think the female clown caused it directly. Okay thanks for the help Jay
