thats so backwards. Even for people who dont care about fish, thats wasting money, and saltwater aquarium fish are expensiveI just found this thread and thought I may aswell say my worst one I’ve seen working in an LFS in the past. It was how someone put a clown tang in a 4’ tank.
This person had a Acanthurus lineatus in a 4’ tank and kept adding more fish (Even after having that same tang stress out and kill any new additions). The last fish I remember them asking for was a Hoplolatilus starcki (Blue throat tilefish). I had no idea about the clown tang at this point so I sold it but then the next week they came in wanting another and I wondered why just to find out they had a Clown tang in the tank. I told them it was a bad mistake, they didn’t listen and said about that fish killing several other inhabitants within a week and I said that they should get rid of it. Didn’t do it and then they went “It’s just a fish, they’re not important” and I was SO close to flipping. This was a few years back and eventually they listened and traded the clown tang in.
I know right, I’m glad I managed to swap the tank round.thats so backwards. Even for people who dont care about fish, thats wasting money, and saltwater aquarium fish are expensive
