I know, but like people stuffing betta fish in 0.5 gallon tanks and then saying that after they get backlash

I just found this thread and thought I may aswell say my worst one I’ve seen working in an LFS in the past. It was how someone put a clown tang in a 4’ tank.

This person had a Acanthurus lineatus in a 4’ tank and kept adding more fish (Even after having that same tang stress out and kill any new additions). The last fish I remember them asking for was a Hoplolatilus starcki (Blue throat tilefish). I had no idea about the clown tang at this point so I sold it but then the next week they came in wanting another and I wondered why just to find out they had a Clown tang in the tank. I told them it was a bad mistake, they didn’t listen and said about that fish killing several other inhabitants within a week and I said that they should get rid of it. Didn’t do it and then they went “It’s just a fish, they’re not important” and I was SO close to flipping. This was a few years back and eventually they listened and traded the clown tang in.

thats so backwards. Even for people who dont care about fish, thats wasting money, and saltwater aquarium fish are expensive
