Ok, I got this HUGE hair algae problem, and it has gotten so bad that I'm about to nuke the tank with algaefix. It's growing in strands all over the tank. It's on the glass, on the sand, and on the live rock too!

Is it ok to use algaefix with corals in the tank?

What inverts should I use?

And my turbo snail doesn't seem to be eating it.

put your turbo snail directly where you want it to eat, if it still does not eat then try getting another, having a few usually helps, and it wont hurt

I think there is no single one invert that will cover all your algae needs! What you need is a "clean up crew" with several of different species and hopefully competition will drive them to eat even the lest favorable ones. That with a combination of proper filtration & lowering your nutrients should take care of most algae problems.

Seahares are awesome hair algae eaters. They will mow it down like it was grass.

Turbo Snails are the bees knees but if you have a really bad problem get a sea hare ! he cleaned a 40 gallon cube with GHA covering the whole tank in less then a week but be sure to bring him back to the LFS when hes done.

but you should really find out why you have an algae problem, check your water... are you using an RO/DI unit? make sure your not over feeding,or your photo period is to long...or get some GFO

Since I have a 2 gallon nano, I use premium, real ocean water from Petco. I suppose bryopsis is common when a tank first starts, which is what my situation is.
