I picked up this x4 and finally almost ready to install it. I don't have too many things I can think of that I'd be plugging into the different ports. I see some awesome hydros control pics with most ports used on several devices. So I just wanted to see what everyone is plugging in to get some ideas of the cool stuff I never knew I needed. So lmk what you guys have plugged into which ports. Also I've seen some cool 0-10v stuff... some seem more technical electrician level diy but maybe I can figure that stuff out too

I have a Hydros system with 9 controllers.

On the 18 sense ports I have
3 temp sensors
10 float switches for water level
1 TDS meter
3 leak detectors
1 has relay contacts to start RODI input solenoid.

On the 10 drive ports
4 solenoids for RODI control
6 for ATO, AWC and dosing control

On 4 direct drive ports
All unused at this time. Using WE to control 2 MP10's

On 0-10v input ports
3 used for water level sensors
1 for push button switches
4 unused at this time

On 0-10v output ports
4 used for lighting control
4 unused at this time but will eventually use for lighting.

Nice. That's a lot of stuff. I like the push button and toggle switch from adaptive reef. I see they made a direct connection for the apex. Hoping they do for the hydros soon. I'll definitely have a couple water level sensors and leak detectors, couple power heads, maybe a temp sensor or 2 if the lines are really long.

OK dumb question. Why three temp sensors? And why 10 float sensors? I am at a loss.

I have one temp sensor in the tank and one in my mix tank which is in the garage. I also have one in open air in the garage. It is set to alert me if the temp gets below 44.6 or above 100 degrees. The garage is not heated or cooled normally. If it suppose to get down on 20's I will plug in a space heater just to keep it above freezing. I have my RODI and three storage tanks in the garage. I have a low level and full level float switch in the three storage tanks. The DI and mix tank is setup to auto refill from the RODI when the level drop below the low level sensor. The fresh saltwater storage tank also will refill from the mix tank if the mix tank is ready to use. There is a high level, full level and low level float switch in the sump. The last one is in the collection container for the skimmer so it will shut it off if the container gets full.
