I need to buy a wavemaker for my 93 cube and I will not be able to afford a maxspect grye or vortec mp40. I am looking at getting the Jeboa and wondered if 2 qty of the pp4 would work or if I would need to go to the pp8? I really hate large bulky wavemaker and the pp4 would be quite small.

Any suggestions with tank placement would be appreciated too.

There's the new Icecap Gyre for $150. Been looking at this pump for quite some time now

The more time I've had my cube tank, the more I think I would be better off with 4 smaller powerheads than 1 larger one. Most things like my gyre run on only 40% power and even then I have issues keeping sand in the opposite side of the tank.

Try 4 tunze or 2 to 3 mp10's.

Agree, in my last cube tank I had 2 mp10s and 2 wp10 simply bc it can get hard to get flow around a cube tank so this I felt was good. I did try the gyre but IMO i feel they're only good for long tanks
