Early 2000s my first reef tank had the typical softies, anthelia, xenia, gsp, but the most fulling was my candy cane which was adding heads. I told my LFS, he asked "it's putting on skeleton?". Later he gave me a tiny porites piece that came in a live rock shipment, which I was able to save.
Everyone said how easy they are to grow. I dang near killed mine after a peroxide dip. Months later they have finally grown back.

This was one of my favorite pieces (top right) in my first tank which is a Biocube 32. It was my favorite because all it did was grow!

Added a big rock of Peach Palys first week,

Did it take over your hole cube. I’m always worried about them taking over rocks like gsp.

Nah, i was not worried at all. I love growing coral so if one day it got 'out of control' i would have welcomed it. I strategically placed corals around it as well to prevent it from taking over certain areas. Sadly i never got to see just how wild it would become, as i had a tank crash caused by bryopsis and questionable choices... i have been fighting bryopsis ever since but hey, [HASH=76975]#tanklife[/HASH]
