Found a red slimy worm that has stringy extensions could be a spaghetti worm but never seen one red. Sifted through the sand to see if there was more and didn’t see any so far. This one found going after my torch.

This time of the year, these have been showing up. They are known as a lancelet which is a segmented worm that prefers substrate with shells and is a hitchhiker that scavenges. If they are thriving, you may be overfeeding or lacking in siphoning and maintenance.

Are they good, bad, or kinda like bristle worms where it depends on what you want?

They’re foragers and I personally don’t want them in my tanks
