Hello, I'm a beginner in aquarism and I set up a 50l(14 gallons) nano aquarium (40l display and 10 sump) with 2 clown fish, 3 very small corals and turbo snails.
5 days ago I added an adult stenopus shrimp, and now I'm afraid it will try to prey on the clowns that are still young. I have not yet had any problems or observed any aggressive behavior on the shrimp's part.
What would you do? I heard that he would only try to eat the fish if the fish was sick, is that true?
I'm thinking about getting rid of him, but I think he's a very beautiful animal.

Welcome!

I don't think your coral banded shrimp is likely to hunt healthy fish. If you're concerned, just make sure he's well fed. I toss in one of these sinking tablets once a week to keep my shrimp and crabs from bothering corals...

I've kept those shrimp and never had one go after fish. They'll grab at them if they get too close but I think it's more of a defensive jesture to warn them away.
I have one currently in a tank with a small six line and tail spot blenny. I was more worried about the six line but they just ignore each other.

I keep 1 in my 110g predator reef.
I moved him out of my 10g after he ate my cleaner shrimp and sliced the fins of my clowns.
In the 110, he will still defend himself against my 4 year old Niger trigger and snip at any fins that come top close.
In my opinion, he outgrew the nano tank very quickly. He only stayed in there for a couple months.

If you want to catch him take a plastic beverage bottle, cut the top off like a funnel invert and insert into the bottle and bait it. Leave in your tank overnight. I did this last weekend for two peppermint shrimp that destroyed a torch (caught them in the act).
