Hello! I have a fairly new tank set up about 7 months old.
Its a 250L tank, moderately stocked with fish only and no corals yet.
I initially had a big diatom bloom which eventually died down and the tank looked really good for a few months. I'm currently away from home for work, and my mum has been taking care of the tank. However over the last few days some weird white, stringy algae has completely exploded.
I have no idea what it is and can't really find anything that looks similar, my mum has been removing it every day, but it seems to be growing back almost instantly.
All the fish have been accounted for and seem healthy (so it's not a case of something rotting in the tank)
I've attached some photos of the issue.
It looks horrendous so I'd really appreciate any advice for this, thanks!
