What type of corals are you keeping. I was thinking of using that exact combo for my 75g sps dominant tank in the future.I'm using 4t5 and 2 kessil a360x over my 75. Great shimmer from the kessils and nice even spread from the t5's.
Was halides with led. Now led only on nano cube and frag system.
Just took down my 120 with 2 250 halides and Orphek bars.
It is being replaced with a 80g 48x24x16. Easier for me to work on/in.
The 80 will be all led. My halides are in storage for a rainy day build, lol.
I will go with 16hds on the 80 based on my results with my frag and nano systems which are running them.
Im getting ready to set up a 20g nano lps dominant tank with a 16hd prime. Looks like they are growing your sps really well! Was halides with led. Now led only on nano cube and frag system.

I think I follow your tank on YouTube and Instagram. One of my favorites.A Giesemann aurora V8. 8 80w T5’s and 5 led pucks.
Large acro colonies need that diffused light.
I started in saltwater when I was 11, that was 1980. I had freshwater when I was younger.Too bad you cannot cross reference these number with how long each person has been in the hobby. I think that might show some insights as well...
You voted correctly. I couldn't go back to change it.Just t5s. I didn't see it in the vote so I voted flourescents.

I’m using AI Hydra 32’s over a 55 gallon because I’m new to the hobby and heard from multiple sources that it’s the best bang for the buck. $320 a piece and not disappointed. Great shimmer. Feeding and lunar phases. Ramp-up schedule for setting changes. And, the variety of downloadable preset options for the app was a nice feature. The lighting debate is far from over. LEDs seem to be the dominant lighting type at the moment, but there are still options out there. This poll is to determine just how popular each lighting type or types are at the moment.
Please answer this poll based on your PRIMARY coral tank.
Right now only softies, a struggle with dinos and then red turf algae over ran my Lps. before that they were doing great under this combo. At the time I was running the kessils at about 50% and had about 150 par on the sand bed. What type of corals are you keeping. It is the customers choices that will decide. If most of the reefer choose one technologie believe me some manufacturer would followLEDs Kessil and reef bright.
Halides are obsolete - the selection and availability of bulbs is almost nonexistent, 3 Years ago you had many choices,
Fluorescent is every industry being converted to LED, so they will also be phased out existence.
I liked the halide/fluorescent hybrid lighting but debating on their worth is useless as the hobby trends can not change the world trends.
