What kind of snail is this? I thought it was a Nassarius

I am not sure how long I have even had this guy, he may had came in as a nassarius but his shell does not look like the others and his snout is different, you can kind of see his mouth in this shot. He even kind of pulls himself up the glass with his mouth.

When I say his snout is different, he does not have the protruding snout like my 10 other nassarius have, they normally have them pointing out of the sand during feeding. This guy lacks that.

I just looked those up, the shell and body look different. Good try though.

They are called Cerith snails. They are awesome tank inhabitants as far as clean up crew is concerned. Cerith snails do not have a proboscis like Nassarius, whelks, conch and cone snails.

I am now thinking he is a Cerith, I thought all of them have a black body but looking at images I think he is a match.
